BAR MISFITS KLEZMER BAND A fresh and captivating approach to Old World dance music, the Bar Misfits Klezmer Band has long been a favorite of Southern Oregon. The band members include David and Gabe Young (guitar and woodwinds), Dennis Freese (woodwinds, and a veteran of Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show and Vilna's Got a Gollum), Faina Podolnaya (violin and vocals) and Tom Stamper (drums). |
HAND IN HAND DRUMMERS Local youths and adults, students and professionals, will perform elemental rhythms of the Caribbean, Brazil and West Africa. Directed by Sue Lundquist, they will play a wide range of instruments from congas, cajons, djembes, dunduns to found, recycled and repurposed items. Sue Lundquist currently teaches drumming within the Ashland School District and offers private and group lessons for children, youths and adults. |
